Baguio City, Philippines — The much-anticipated “Christmas ed Kapangan” will be the culmination of sayote harvesting season and other new activities at the festival town of Kapangan in Benguet province a local official said.
According to Kapangan Mayor Manny Fermin, the sayote picking will be conducted in Barangay Sagubo where a wide range of sayote farms is located.
The mayor said that through the activity, tourists will experience the harvesting or picking of sayote alongside local farmers.
In addition to the three-hour trekking, fishing, will also be held at the famous Badi Falls, where the beautiful views of Kapangan can be enjoyed.
Dangwa Cave and Bulinsek Cave will also be open for those taking part in the celebration.
Despite the new activities, guests will still enjoy the old-fashioned “Christmas ed Kapangan” such as camping and swimming in areas of Kapangan, Benguet takes pride.
