Manila, Philippines, March 26, 2026 — The ASEAN Youth Business Summit 2026 concluded successfully, bringing together young entrepreneurs, policymakers, and industry leaders from across Southeast Asia and beyond in a celebration of collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose.
Held from March 24 to 26, the three day summit provided a dynamic platform to strengthen regional cooperation, foster cross border partnerships, and equip the next generation of leaders to navigate a complex global business landscape.
High Level Leadership and Notable Guests
The summit welcomed distinguished leaders including Senator JV Ejercito, the Department of Trade and Industry, and Governor Sol Aragones, whose support was instrumental to the event’s success. Hosted by Mayor Art Mercado of San Pedro City, the summit reflected the city’s commitment to youth empowerment and regional collaboration, highlighting the importance of public and private sector partnerships in driving entrepreneurship and economic growth across ASEAN.
Driving Conversations on Global Challenges
Delegates engaged in discussions on pressing global issues such as post pandemic recovery, economic resilience, digital transformation, climate change, the ongoing US–Israel–Iran conflict, and rising oil prices. These conversations underscored that today’s challenges—from global health crises to geopolitical tensions and economic disruptions—require collaboration, shared responsibility, and purpose driven leadership.
Empowering Youth Through Collaboration and Innovation
The summit provided a vibrant space for knowledge exchange through keynote sessions, panel discussions, and business matching activities. Participants built cross border connections and explored innovative solutions to regional challenges, reinforcing the belief that youth are not only leaders of tomorrow but active drivers of transformation today.
Industry Exposure: Laguna International Industrial Park Visit
As part of the summit’s experiential learning, delegates toured the Laguna International Industrial Park, one of the country’s premier industrial hubs, visiting companies such as Ionics and Concepcion Industrial Corporation. They gained firsthand insights into industrial operations, manufacturing innovation, and the critical role of global supply chains in driving economic growth.
Founders’ Vision
The ASEAN Youth Business Council, co founded by Aries B. Balanay and Rommel Sim Gerodias, continues to create platforms that empower young leaders and strengthen regional collaboration across ASEAN. On the success of the summit, they shared:
“This summit proves that when young leaders come together with purpose, innovation follows, and borders no longer limit what we can achieve. The youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are shaping a better ASEAN today.”
Unity Across Sectors: The Key to Success
The summit’s success was made possible through strong collaboration across sectors. The organizers extend their appreciation to the Government of Laguna and its partner cities, including San Pedro, Biñan, Cabuyao, and Santa Rosa, as well as government owned corporations such as the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office. Key private sector partners including Hotel Sogo, Li Auto, and Folium Multimedia Production also played an instrumental role.
Delegates leave the summit with renewed purpose: to be part of the solution, to lead with integrity, and to contribute to a more connected, innovative, and prosperous ASEAN region. The organizers extend their deepest gratitude to all partners, sponsors, speakers, and delegates who made this landmark event possible.
Looking ahead, more youth business summits are expected throughout the year, as the Philippines takes the helm as ASEAN host for 2026, providing continued opportunities for collaboration, learning, and regional innovation.
