Extra Mile productions, the iconic production house responsible for producing those award-winning Know Your North Videos recently conducted a filmmaking workshop with Department of Tourism and Victory Liner employees in Baguio City.

Film documentarist for the National Geographic Gabby Malvar together with Public Advocate Ginggay Hontiveros of Extra Mile Productions spent their time with about sixty enthusiastic participants at the workshop conducted in the Microtel inn in Baguio City. Aside from filmmaking, the duo also taught participants the most important aspects of storytelling.

What made the workshop very interesting was when iconic filmmaker Kidlat Tahimik came and gave his short lecture on the art and science of filmmaking.

” This workshop is not just informative but highly entertaining. We are now empowered to create our own stories,” says Marivic H. del Pilar, a participant and Vice President for Treasury and Marketing of Victory Liner.

Victory Liner has been supporting the artistic initiatives of Extra Mile productions since they began their short film series in 2016.

Know Your North short films of Victory Liner has received several awards for promoting the cultures and traditions of peoples living in the island of Luzon in the Philippines.
