Richard EM "Ricky" Rivera is a long-time journalist, communicator, paralegal, and political observer. He began his journalistic career as a writer/reporter of Dyaryo Filipino and then became managing editor of Sinag. His first job was as a writer at DZBB(GMA7), Magandang Gabi Bayan at ABS-CBN 2, and anchor/reporter of RPN9. He is now an anchor of a weekly radio show over at Radyo Veritas. He graduated from the University of the Philippines, then took law at San Beda and Ateneo de Manila in 1998. He has been a certified Paralegal of the University of the Philippines College of Law since 2014 and a Globally Certified Crisis Counselor at Fleishman University in Hong Kong. He has a post-graduate diploma in General Management at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and is finishing his International Studies post-graduate at theUniversity of the Philippines in Diliman. He is an author of Bagong Istorya and Re-engineer Damaged and Rotten Filipino Institutions.
