After several weeks on the run, fugitive pastor Apollo Quiboloy Jr.is now under police custody. His arrest has been confirmed by a source in the Department of Interior and Local Governments (DILG).
Sketchy details are beginning to filter into public consciousness on the arrest and detention of Quiboloy in an undisclosed location. It is not known if he was arrested inside the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) in Davao City.
Police have been combing the KOJ compound after reports surfaced of Quiboloy’s probable presence in the property. KOJC members have protested the alleged police raid a week ago, accusing the PNP of overreach. Despite a court order, the PNP remained at the compound, confident that the fugitive “Son of God” was inside one of the bunkers.
Vice president Sara Duterte believes that Quiboloy is not in the compound. Just recently, Senator Bato dela Rosa tried yet failed to use his charm as a former PNP chief to convince the police to leave the KOJC.
Quiboloy is a wanted fugitive as far as the United States government is concerned. He has been charged before federal courts of child abuse, illegal recruitment and human trafficking. He denies the charges.
The Philippine government also slapped Quiboloy of sexual and child abuse. A Pasig court issued a warrant for his arrest.
