U.P. to resume UPCAT

After being halted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of the Philippines (UP) announced on Friday that they will be resuming their college admission test.

According to university, the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) will be done on June 3 and 4.

It will be done in more than 100 test centers nationwide.

For this year’s UPCAT application, it will start during the first week of March.

“All applications are to be done online and applicants need to encode their grades for Grades 8, 9, 10, and 11 in the UPCAT online portal,” the university said in their statement.

“Though applicants may still be in Grade 11 when they apply, exam takers will encode their grades online only in September 2023 when Grade 11 grades are final and complete,” it added.

Meanwhile, the university said that they will request hard copies of the applicants’ official grades from their school to be used for “verification purposes.”

The UPCAT passers will be admitted to the university for the first semester of academic year 2024 to 2025.
