THE Office of Civil Defense on Friday said that the number of individuals affected by the floodings across the country since the start of the year has breached the two million-mark.
According to their latest situation report, 2,049,722 individuals or 498,274 families have been affected by the flooding caused by the Northeast Monsoon, the low-pressure area and shearline.
The report also said that a total of 44 deaths have been reported, with 11 injuries and 8 missing.
The total number of damaged houses is at 1,888 — 1,325 partially and 563 totally damaged. The estimated cost of damage is at P3,716,000.
Meanwhile, the estimated damage to infrastructure is at P521,914,324.
But the damage to agriculture is now at P1,092,212,288.
Some 86 cities and municipalities have declared a state of calamity.
While a total of P115,590,769 in assistance were provided to the affected individuals.
