FM Radio Station Owner Nabbed Over Multi-Million Estafa

on

He’s supposed to be nabbed for possible violation of the Anti Women and Child abuse law but Willy Asuncion, an owner of a top-rating FM station, got the shock of his life when members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group or CIDG nabbed him for a crime that he did five years ago in Aklan.

Asuncion was arrested in an entrapment operation. Raffy Tulfo, a news anchor of TV5 cooperated with the CIDG after authorities learned of what Asuncion did to Almira Alawi, sister of popular Filipina actress, Ivana Alawi.

It turned out the Asuncion, who is reportedly married, had an affair with Almira that led to an impregnation. Asuncion abandoned Almira and their child. Asuncion and Alawi met when Alawi worked as a disk jockey in Asuncion’s FM radio station.

Almira’s mother Mommy Alawi then went and complained against Asuncion before Tulfo. While they were amassing pieces of evidence against Asuncion, several other people recognized Asuncion and also called Tulfo.

Helmet Axel Sima, a German national and his Filipina wife saw the story about Asuncion. Sima was Asuncion’s former business partner whom the FM radio station manager swindled with 50 million pesos, reportedly.

Sima entered into a business venture with Asuncion with the expectation of a purchase of hectares of land in Boracay. From the amount of 50 million pesos, Asuncion reportedly only spent 24 million and the rest of the money he kept it for himself for man-years.

Sima filed an estate case against Asuncion. And for five long years Asuncion tried to evade the service of the warrant of arrest.
