MANILA, Philippines — Members of the Social Security System (SSS) can no longer be granted salary loans unless he or she is ably registered online with SSS’s website.
According to SSS’s Real-Time Process of Loans (RTPL) Quick Reference Guide, starting November 11, 2019, all salary loans for members must be applied online.
Members who want a payday loan should be properly listed on the SSS website and in order to obtain a salary loan, members must register at www.sss.gov.ph and those without internet access, they may visit the nearest SSS Branch in their region to register and send a loan application to their e-Center, the SSS said.
SSS further clarified that calamity, emergency, and educational assistance loans must also be applied at any SSS branch for documentary requirements, but that the member must be registered with the “My.SSS” compulsory requirement for the application. (Cate Pallarco/IAMIGO/CNS)
