Team PH lands overall silver finish in 2019 World Para Bowling Tour

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Parabowling Team harvested a total of 10 medals to claim an impressive overall silver finish in the 2019 World Para Bowling Tour-Philippine Leg played November 14 to 20 at the Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall Bowling Center in Cainta, Rizal.

Bless their hearts but the country’s para-athletes in bowling produced 4 gold medals, 3 silvers, and 3 bronzes for a total tally of 10 medals during the whole tournament.

Their Southeast Asian rival Malaysia was hailed as the overall champion of the 10-national tournament. They finished with 11 golds, 10 silvers and 5 bronze medals.

Eight other countries who joined the tourney includes Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Czech Republic, Brunei Darussalam, and Hong Kong.

After the tournament, they will resume their intensive training as part of its preparations for the 2020 ASEAN Para Games this January. (Lloyd Tagbago/IAMIGO/CNS)
