OFW housewife killed by her jealous husband

An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) housewife was killed by her husband in Brgy. Dumadalig, Tantangan, South Cotabato, on morning.

The 28-year-old victim was identified as Denelyn Mara, a resident of Purok Kaunlaran, Brgy. Bukaypait, of the said place.

The suspect, 38-year-old Roel John Mara, is facing a parricide case.

According to the report, around 8:50 am, the victim was at her parents’ home when her husband suddenly arrived where the couple had a heated argument over their marriage.

Over the course of the dispute, the lady took a sharp mattress in their kitchen and pointed it at her husband but the man stole the knife.

The suspect allegedly chopped his wife to various parts of the body.

The suspect immediately fled after dawn as the victim was able to be rushed to South Cotabato Provincial Hospital where the victim was declared dead-on-arrival due to severe injuries.

It is also known that the couple often quarrel where the lady wants to separate from her husband because she is so jealous.

The crime scene has been recovered from the crime scene as police are searching for the said mister who is facing criminal charges.
