The win gave the Red Lions some measure of respect as they bounced back from their Game 1 loss to Letran, which was actually their very first defeat throughout the eliminations of the 95thedition of the oldest collegiate league in the country.

It was a tight contest in Game 2 for the two teams, which engaged in a see-saw game, battled back and forth before San Beda took a 37-25 lead at the half.

But San Beda also has its own top gun in Most Valuable Player Calvin Oftana who took charge of the Red Lions. He finished with 17-points including his crucial free-throw in the clutch.
