VP Sara’s Impeachment, About Accountability

During a press briefing last Friday, August 8, Bicol Saro party-list Rep. Terry Ridon, stressed that the impeachment case of Vice President Sara Duterte is about accountability and not related to any Political plans.

He added

Ridon stated that the House of Representatives will wait for the Supreme Court’s decision on the motion for reconsideration that was filed by the Lower House.

VP Sara Duterte became the first Vice President to be impeached. She was impeached by the House of Representatives, however the Supreme Court ruled that the articles of impeachment were “unconstitutional”. After the SC’s ruling, the Senate has archived the case.
