Wrestling Icon Hulk Hogan Dies

Professional Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan dies at the age of 71. Hogan died of cardiac arrest at his home in

Clearwater, Florida, on July 24, 2025 (U.S time).

 

Hogan was an international sensation, and a major figure in the Wrestling boom in the 1980s that launched Professional Wrestling to the mainstream and making it a global hit, with WWE (then known as WWF) as the top wrestling company in the world.

 

Hogan started his career in 1977, two years later he met Vince McMahon and together they changed the wrestling landscape, Hogan would main event several Wrestlemanias (WWE’s Flagship event).

 

In the early 1990s, he jumpship to WCW the then main rival of WWE, Hogan would later played a Heel or Villainous character as a member of the faction known as nWo. Hogan’s WCW run prompted WWE to up their game pushing talents such as Stone Cold Steve Austin and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and finally crushing WCW.

 

Hogan would return in WWE in the early 2000s having a match against The Rock at WrestleMania 18 in 2002, regarded as one of the best matches in the company’s history.

 

Hogan was inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and in 2009 he joined TNA (Total Nonstop Action) before returning to WWE for special appearances and hosting WrestleMania 30 in 2014.

 

Hogan also ventured into acting, paving the way for other wrestlers like The Rock, Batista and John Cena to have success in Hollywood.
