FORMER Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario died on Tuesday. He was 83.
“The family of Ambassador Albert Ferreros del Rosario is deeply saddened to announce his passing today, April 18,” the family said in their statement.
“The family requests privacy during this difficult time. Details will be released at a later date,” it added.
Del Rosario is known for being soft spoken but was steady in his stand on policies.
He was the lead in the successful arbitration case of the Philippines to which resulted in the legal victory of the Philippines over Beijing in the South China Sea disputes in 2016.
