The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) said that the missing Cessna aircraft in Isabela has been found.

“The missing Cessna has just been found. The condition[s] of the passengers and pilot [are] still being verified. Details to follow,” the PDRRMO said in a message.

It will be recalled that on January 24, the Cessna C206 plane RPC 1174 got lost after taking off from Cauayan Airport in Isabela at 2:15 p.m.

It was headed for the Maconacon town.

The light aircraft had a pilot and five passengers.

It last made contact with the air traffic controllers at 2:19 p.m. in Naguilian.

It was expected to arrive in Maconacon at 2:45 p.m. but did not make it.

Isabela PDRRMO said the weather was clear when the plane left Cauayan Airport, but the wind around Sierra Madre was “turbulent.”
