The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said on Tuesday that a magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck Davao de Oro.
Phivolcs said that the earthquake was recorded at 2:02 p.m.
It had its epicenter at 07.43°N, 126.09°E – 013 km N 16° W of the municipality of Maragusan.
Phivolcs said that the depth is 34 km and was tectonic in origin.
The quake was felt along with the following intensities:
– Intensity V – Nabunturan, Davao de Oro
– Intensity IV – City of Tagum, Davao del Norte
PHIVOLCS said damage and aftershocks are expected.
