A Thai passenger claimed to also have been a victim of the security screening officers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
According to Thai passenger Saruta Jansila who reposted the social media post of fellow Thai Kitja Thabthim, that showed his affidavit of complaint against personnel of Office of Transport Security (OTS) working at NAIA, where Jansila praised Kitja for being able to get evidence,
She added that it was something she should have done when a similar incident happened to her.
It will be recalled that Kitja and another Thai passenger posted videos of security screening officers pocketing something from Kitja’s bag while interrogating him on February 22.
Another video showed that the missing ¥20,000 yen was handed back to Kitja.
It was learned that Kitja was a transiting passenger at NAIA, and was traveling from Bangkok to Japan.
According to Jansila she had a similar incident wherein her was taken at a security screening area at NAIA on February 9.
She said that it was the same route and style done to her. After passing the security check, they realized that the ¥40,000 or equivalent of P16,000 was missing.
They then demanded from the security screening officers to review the CCTVs.
Another officer approached them and asked various questions.
When the officer asked them to recheck their wallet, it showed that the cash was bck inside but in different locations.
Jansila made the post on her Facebook Page “People Who Like to Roam Around Japan.”
According to the Office for Transportation Security they are now looking into the incident of Jansila.
“Nabasa ko lang po but we are looking into it. Including report of Sen Grace Poe na ang kaniyang staff ay nawalan ng wristwatch. Gusto ko balikan ng records at sana makakuha kami ng additional information,” OTS Administrator Ma.O Aplasca said.
