The ambulance believed to be carrying the remains of late former President Noynoy Aquino has left Capitol Medical Center today at exactly 12:48PM today.

The Philippines got a shock news on early Thursday upon official confirmation that former president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino 3rd passed away. He was 61.

According to Manuel Roxas 2^nd, Aquino was rushed to a hospital in early on Thursday and passed away even with efforts to revived him. Sources say Noynoy died due to stage four lung cancer. His kidneys reportedly gave out during dialysis, followed subsequently by a heart attack.

“PNoy RIP (rest in peace). [He] was rushed to hospital early this morning and passed after efforts to revive failed. Please pray for him. Salamat (Thank you),” Roxas said in a statement.

Initial reports indicated Aquino was brought to the Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City early Thursday for undisclosed reasons.

Aquino was the country’s 15^th president while his mother Corazon “Cory” Aquino was the country’s 11^th president. His father Benigno “Ninoy” served as senator.

Among the first to express their sympathy to the passing of Aquino was Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. who was also his mother’s Press Secretary.

“I’m out of Twitter from grief over the death of a sea-green incorruptible, brave under armed attack, wounded in crossfire, indifferent to power and its trappings, and ruled our country with a puzzling coldness but only because he hid his feelings so well it was thought he had,” Locsin said over Twitter.
