A film about The King, Elvis Presley will be released in 2022, and not by this year as earlier announced. This is due to delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The film stars Academy award winner Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker, the King’s long-time manager and friend. Presley became a superstar after Parker gambled on him. Unknown to many, the relationship between Presley and Parker was never easy. Parker was hard on Presley who looked at the retired army man as a Father.
The Baz Luhrmann movie stars Austin Butler as the late rock star while Olivia de Jonge will play Prescilla, Elvis’ wife. Warner Brothers says it will allow HBO subscribers access to its entire 2021 movie lineup.
