The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday launched a chatbot to address the public’s queries regarding the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat.
The “KontraCOVID bot” called “Kira” or “Katuwang na Impormasyon para sa Responsableng Aksyon” can be accessed through the DOH Facebook page, DOH Viber community, or www.kontracovid.ph.
Kira can help netizens conduct a self-check for COVID-19, provide information on how to protect oneself from the virus, as well as answer questions about the guidelines of the Luzon-wide quarantine.
For their part, the University of the Philippines (U.P.) launched earlier a similar COVID-19 chatbot named “Yani.”
On the other hand, the Lung Center of the Philippines (LCP) offers free virtual medical consultations through the social media./Stacy Ang
