A member of Duterte’s administration who is very close to a senatorial ally of the President is reportedly moving to oust Taguig Congressman Alan Peter Cayetano as Speaker of the House of Representatives.

A source told Currentph.com that this cabinet rank official is reportedly moving in the shadows bearing the supposed tidings of no less than Senator Bong Go, who is very close to Congressman Lord Velasco, the other Congressman who is supposed to don the Speakership garb only this November.

The source says the official is a personal friend of most Congressmen and counts Go as a close Malacanan contact. Go reportedly served as go-between the official and another Cabinet member during their spat last year.

Cayetano is reportedly being made to believe that Go is solidly behind him. What the Taguig Congressman does not know is that Go had several past dealings with Velasco even before Go and Velasco became political personalities.

Velasco is also extremely close to presidential daughter Sara Duterte, whose husband, Atty. Mans Carpio, is a former classmate of the Congressman from Negros.

Velasco’s group reportedly wants Cayetano out after realizing that Cayetano is now in control of the budget for next year, 2021, which is considered by many as an election year.
