MANILA, Philippines — Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso this city has warned the public about the latest modus operandi of a “budol-budol” gang operating in the city.

The Mayor issued the warning on his Capital Report weekly update on Facebook to Manilenos after two members of the syndicate were apprehended for victimizing a Vlogger or video blogger recently.

The suspects, identified as Rommel Gonzales and Janmar  Baliwag Versoza, were earlier arrested and presented to Domagoso after victimizing a certain vlogger named Manuelito  Rael Ormedo.

According to Ormedo, he was recording a vlog near the Bonifacio Shrine when he was approached by the suspects and offered him to cover the Oblation Run at UP.

When he agreed, the suspects listed down the details of his vlog and brought him infront of Unibersidad de Manila (UDM).

After that, the suspects asked him to surrender his cellular phone and other gadgets they are prohibited inside, but he was made to sign a list of his equipment.

The suspects told him to bring the list to their companion in nearby SM Manila, but the vlogger did not find him.  The victim then returned to UDM but the two other suspects already left.

The victim then reported the incident to the police and to Domagoso’s Special Mayors Reaction Team (SMaRT), who then apprehended the suspects.

According to SMaRT chief P/Major Rosalino Ibay Jr, the suspects underwent Inquest Proceedings at the Manila Prosecutors Office.

“Alam niyo mga kababayan, ang  budol budol, magsasalita iyan ng gusto niyong marinig kaya nagiging music to your ears. Ikaw naman flying high sa cloud 9, o kaya ang pagkakaiba ay iwasan niyo na,” Domagoso reminded the public. (GA/Benjie Cuaresma/JGo/Currentph.com)
