Kneeling conman asks the victim: “Please forgive me…”

Acting on a complaint by a victim who got tricked into giving P134,000 in exchange for millions of dollars locked in a vault at the airport, the National Bureau of Investigation Special Action Unit arrested a Liberian national in an entrapment operation in a fast-food chain along Macapagal Boulevard, Pasay City Tuesday.

The victim requested anonymity but NBI Director Dante Gierran identified the foreign national suspect as one Gedoge Kennedy who was allegedly trying to fleece again the victim for an additional P20,000 to retrieve the box containing the million-dollar bills. It was then that he called the attention of the NBI which conducted the successful entrapment operation.

Fake dollar bills were also recovered from suspect Kennedy who knelt before the victim asking for forgiveness at the NBI office but his pleas only fell on deaf ears. He is now detained at NBI headquarters along Taft Avenue, Manila. (BENJIE CUARESMA/IAMIGO/CNS)
