DepEd also favors the suspension of classes in MM for SEA Games

MANILA, Philippines – Similar to an earlier proposal made by the Department of Interior and Local Government, the Department of Education is also seeking to suspend classes in some schools in Metro Manila for the upcoming 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

The Philippines, as the host country, is in the thick of things busy on preparations with some athletes and guests from other countries already in PH for the Games.

The 30th edition of SEA Games features 56 sports and 530 events in 44 venues across the country. There are 1,115 athletes to represent the country to compete for 530 gold medals.

According to the report, here is a list of the schools recommended for class suspension:

Schools recommended for class suspensions are in Metro Manila and CALABARZON. Private schools in the said areas may be up to the school administrators whether they would suspend classes or not. (Lloyd Tagbago/IAMIGO/CNS)
