No trace of 4 teens ‘abducted by men in white van’ in Pasay

MANILA, Philippines — Pasay City residents and parents are now worried about incidents of missing young men allegedly being abducted by “huge, big men” in a white van.

With this, Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano ordered City Police Chief P/Col. Bernard Yang to conduct a proper and thorough investigation to verify the report that has also gone “viral” on social media.

It was learned that at least four young men were confirmed to have been abducted without a trace and news of their disappearance has already been circulating on social media particularly on Facebook group page “Pasay Politics.”

These young men were allegedly residents of Barangay 12 Zone 1. They were reported missing since last Sunday (24 November 2019).

One netizen claimed one of the teenagers was abducted by “large men riding in a van.”

The mayor also called on relatives or friends of the missing youths to contact the Pasay City Police first before posting on social media for them to formally investigate the alleged abductions.

Yang said that they would prioritize the investigation into such reports as they would begin by gathering details from relatives of the alleged victims. (Gelica Paulo/IAMIGO/CNS)
