on

MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will conduct a one-time, big-time crackdown on traffic violators particularly overloading and over-speeding vehicles.

LTO will be assisted by the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and South Central Expressway (SLEX) and North Central Expressway (NLEX).

A one-time crackdown according to the LTO, was aimed at preventing road accidents and upholding the order of President Rodrigo Duterte to strictly enforce the laws of traffic.

Besides Metro Manila, the LTO and other government agencies will also conduct crackdowns on traffic violators across the country. (Marian Sinamban/IAMIGO/CNS)
