MANILA, Philippines — Five young men including a 16-year-old were arrested after allegedly raping a 19-year-old girl last night in Meycauayan City.
In a report by P/Lt. Col. Aquino Olivar, Police Chief of Meycauayan City, five suspects were arrested and identified as Renz Justin Pineda, 19; Jan Fulgencio, 18; Marvin Tulgencio, 20; Joven Osias, 19; and a 16-year-old whose name was hidden.
During the initial investigation, the five suspects allegedly invited the victim Glenda (not her real name) to have a drink with them and when the victim was already drunk, instead of transporting the victim to her home, the group took them to an abandoned warehouse and shortly thereafter the gang rape allegedly happened at around 11:48 p.m.
The victim was able to escape while the suspects were asleep and she immediately informed the police and the suspects were immediately arrested.
The victim allegedly knew all the suspects and that’s the reason  she said why she trusted them to join them in the drinking session. (Gelica Paulo/IAMIGO/CNS)
