MANILA, Philippines — On Tuesday, November 12, 2019, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said a magnitude 4.8 earthquake rattled Itbayat, Batanes.
The quake occurred at 12:54 a.m., Phivolcs said. Northwest of Itbayat at eight kilometers.
The temblor was of tectonic in origin and had a 77-kilometer depth of focus.
