Fajardo explodes for 21 points as Gilas downs Alab in tune-up match for SEAG

MANILA, Philippines – Gilas Pilipinas overcame a gutsy San Miguel Alab Pilipinas with a close 98-95 victory on Monday, 04 November 2019, at the Meralco Gym.

Junemar Fajardo helped the National team win as he finished with 21 points in their win against San Miguel while Roger Pogoy produced 15 points.

Stanley Pringle and Vic Manuel had 10 points apiece, while Christian Standhardinger added 9 points for Gilas.

The Renaldo Balkman-less Alab Pilipinas was behind 92-83 in the final three minutes but was able to close in the final stretch behind Louie Vigil’s stellar 18-point performance.

Gilas Pilipinas is set to face opposite Alab again on Monday, November 11, and against a pro team from Taiwan on November 18. (Lloyd Tagbago/IAMIGO/CNS)
