Cloudy skies, scattered rain showers expected in MM due to LPA trough

MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and other parts of the country will experience cloudy skies and scattered rain showers Pagasa said Monday, 04 November 2019, owing to a trough of a low-pressure area affecting central and southern parts of Luzon.

Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, and Mindoro provinces are forecast to see cloudy skies with intermittent rain showers and thunderstorms in their weather bulletin Pagasa said.

Due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms may also prevail over the Caraga and Davao Region.

The northeastern monsoon, meanwhile, will bring cloudy skies and light rains across the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.

The state weather bureau said, due to localized thunderstorms, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.

Pagasa warned in rain-affected areas of potential flash floods and landslides.

Meanwhile, the state weather bureau said, the northern section of Luzon could have moderate to strong northeast to east winds and moderate to rough coastal waters. (1.2 to 4.0 meters)

Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience light to moderate winds from Southwest to Southwest and slight to moderate coastal waters (0.6 to 2.1 inches) while the rest of the country would have light to moderate winds from Northeast to Southwest and slight to moderate coastal waters (0.6 to 2.1 meters.
