MANILA, Philippines — On Tuesday, a low-pressure area (LPA) has been spotted and expected to bring scattered rains to some parts of Luzon and the Visayas, the weather state bureau PAGASA said.
Weather specialist Meno Mendoza said Mimaropa, Calabarzon and the province of Aklan, Antique and Capiz will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
The weather disturbance was spotted at 320 kilometers northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Meanwhile, in Batanes and Babuyan Island, the northeast monsoon or Amihan is anticipated to bring scattered light rains.
Due to localized thunderstorms, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to gray skies with chances of rain showers. (Marian Andrei Sinamban/IAMIGO/CNS)
