QCPD nabs 3 ‘high value targets’ in anti-drug ops

MANILA, Philippines – The Quezon City Police District Galas Station 11 anti-drug operatives has apprehended three suspects who were all considered “high-value targets” Tuesday night, 22 October 2019, at an apartelle corner Araneta and E. Rodriguez avenues in Quezon City.

Based on the report of anti-drug operatives to PCapt. Jovito Guervarra, chief of the anti-drug unit, the suspects were identified as Knowel Soylo Esguerra (53), a resident of Blumentritt, Sampaloc, Manila; Samantha Bautista (25) of No.16 Eustaquio St. Barangay Progress San Juan City and Nicanor Soon (34) of 123 Kapiligan St. Brgy. Dona Imelda, Quezon city.

In an exclusive interview with DAZR Sonshine AM Radio, team leader PCpl. Ryan Villaruel, his team rolled out the drug buy-bust operation and staked the apartelle as early as 10:15p.m. in the evening.

Recovered from the suspects were six pieces of sealed transparent plastic sachet believed containing shabu and marked buy-bust money.

The suspects were slapped with violation of Section 5 and 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (BCuaresma/IAmigo/CNS)
