MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), in partnership with Filipino ride-hailing companies Angkas and CarBEV, are offering free rides to commuters traveling to cemeteries during Undas through the “Libreng Sakay sa Undas” program.
Running from November 1 to 5, 2025, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., the initiative is part of the government’s annual efforts to ensure safe, convenient, and accessible transportation for Filipinos observing All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day.

Under the program, Angkas’ Angcars EV fleet will provide free rides from major cemeteries to key city centers and transport hubs across Metro Manila.
Pickup and Drop-off Points Include:
• Heritage Park, Taguig → Market! Market! / MRT Ayala Station
• Manila North Cemetery → SM Grand Central (Caloocan) / Ayala Cloverleaf (Balintawak)
• Manila South Cemetery → LRT Buendia / Maynila Circle / Mandaluyong
The DOTr and MMDA emphasized that the initiative aligns with their ongoing commitment to improve public mobility and commuter welfare, particularly during peak travel periods.
The agencies said the program complements ongoing efforts to ease congestion, strengthen coordination among traffic enforcers, and promote alternative and sustainable transport options.
The agencies also acknowledged the role of private sector cooperation in delivering efficient and people-centered mobility solutions.
By partnering with Angkas, the government aims to extend more commuter-friendly services and expand its capacity to provide public transport assistance during the holiday.
Angkas expressed its support for the initiative, noting that the collaboration reflects the company’s mission to promote safer, cleaner, and more inclusive transport options.
“We’re proud to work alongside the DOTr and MMDA in serving the public during Undas,” Angkas said in a statement. “This partnership is a testament to what can be achieved when government and private organizations come together to make mobility more accessible and compassionate for all.”
The Libreng Sakay sa Undas program forms part of the DOTr and MMDA’s broader public service operations for the observance, ensuring that commuters have access to free, safe, and reliable rides as they travel to visit their loved ones.
Commuters may present the Angkas app at designated pickup points to avail of the free rides.
