BIR Ready To Probe Atong Ang

The Bureau of Internal Revenue or BIR is ready, if needed, to investigate the assets of businessman and alleged mastermind of the missing sabungeros, Charlie “Atong” Ang.

Ang is currently facing murder and serious illegal detention charges in connection with the missing sabungeros.

“Lahat naman titingnan natin once we have information. So titingnan natin din ‘yan, lahat ng involved dahil gusto lang nating siguraduhing nagbabayad lahat ng tamang buwis” BIR Commissioner Jun Lumagui said.

The BIR has not yet issued a request to the Department of Justice or DOJ regarding the matter.

 Atong Ang denied being behind the heinous crime. Actress Gretchen Barretto is also pointed as a suspect, Barretto denied through her legal representative
