Alleged marijuana courier suspect was arrested during the conduct of police checkpoint operation of Sub-station 11, Taguig CPS at approximately 3:00 AM of Wednesday (August 7) along JP Rizal Extension in Barangay Cembo, Taguig City.
Report said that checkpoint personnel flagged down a man onboard a motorcycle who was later identified as 24-year-old Carlito. The suspect disobeyed the checkpoint thrice and ultimately hit a signage, leading to his arrest.
Upon searching the suspect, authorities confiscated two elongated wrapped with cling wrap and brown packaging tape containing suspected marijuana, one brick rectangular shape self-sealing transparent plastic sachet containing dried leaves and fruiting tops suspected to be marijuana, three vacuum-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing dried leaves and fruiting tops suspected to be marijuana, one large vacuum-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing dried leaves and fruiting tops suspected to be marijuana, one machine-sealed pack color white sachet containing one vape cartridge containing suspected marijuana/cannabis oil with total weight of more or less 3.505 kg with SDP value of ₱420,600.00, nine disposable vape cartridge containing suspected marjuana/cannabis oil with SDP value amounting to ₱45,000.00, six red disposable vape cartridge containing suspected marijuana/cannabis oil with SDP Value of ₱30,000.00, four yellow disposable vape cartridge containing suspected marijuana/cannabis oil with SDP value of ₱20,000.00, one zip lock transparent plastic sachet containing 15 candy Jellybeans in different colors suspected to be marijuana/cannabis with total weight of more or less of 44 grams, one white motorcycle and one helmet.
All confiscated illegal drugs and vapes have an estimated value of ₱563,600.00
Complaint for Violation of Article 151 (Resistance or Disobedience to a Person in Authority or the agents of such person), Section 5 (Transportation of dangerous drugs and/or controlled precursors and essential chemicals) and 11 Article Il of R.A 9165 will be filed against the suspect while recovered pieces of evidence will be turned over to SPD Forensic Unit for analysis.
