Pasok sa Trabaho’t Eskwela, Kanselado Dulot ng Bagyong Carina – Malacañang

Kinansela ng Malacañang ang mga pasok sa trabaho at maging sa eskwelahan dulot ng matinding ulan na mula sa Southwest Monsoon at Typhoon “Carina.”

“In view of the forecasted continuous rainfall brought about by the Southwest Monsoon and Typhoon ‘Carina,’ work in government offices and classes at all levels in the National Capital Region are hereby suspended at 05:00 a.m. today, 24 July 2024, as recommended by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council,” ayon sa public announcement na mula sa Executive Secretary.

Dagdag pa rito, ayon sa inilabas na memo ng PCO, “those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services. The suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.”

Alas tres y media ng madaling araw nagbigay na ng abiso ang National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) ng babala sa matinding ulan, pagbaha, at posibilidad ng pagguho ng lupa. Isinailalim sa Red Rainfall Warning ang ilang bahagi ng Luzon kabilang ang Ilocos Norte, Metro Manila, Cavite, Bataan, Rizal, Batanes, at Bataan. Orange Rainfall Warning naman para sa mga lugar na Apayao, Abra, Benguet, Babuyan Group of Islands, La Union, Laguna, Pampanga, Bulacan, Zambales, at Ilocos Sur.
