Foreign elements fomenting intrique to worsen political wrangling between Marcos and Duterte?

on

Are there forces trying to fragment our political groups? Are these malevolent forces foreign?

Seems like it. The fact that this ongoing spat between the Marcos and Duterte families is part of a sinister plan by a foreign government to weaken us Filipinos who are trying to assert our rights in the West Philippine Sea (WPS)

This possibility came straight from the mouth of former presidential spokesperson and staunch Duterte ally, Atty. Harry Roque. In his recent blog, Roque claims that he got information from a call from former president Duterte himself shortly after attending a Chinese embassy function event see link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Fbq0N1cR2g. Roque also claims that Task Force Davao, a military group, was formed to protect Davao City from terrorism.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the WestComm both denied Roque’s claims that the military leadership is considering disbanding Task Force Davao.

The AFP, however, verified reports that AFP Chief of Staff Brawner went to Davao, but not because of Roque’s claims of disbanding the task force. Colonel Padilla said that the military chief went there to inspect ongoing civil-military operations to help flood victims and bolster the morale of troops there.

So, let’s go back to what Roque said—his information about the possible arrest of Mr. Duterte came from the former president himself shortly after attending an event at the Chinese embassy.  It may be that Mr. Duterte got that information from his friends at the embassy?

Atty. Roque says he’s prepared to do something in case Mr. Duterte is arrested see link: link:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DciF08ivuJ8.

Saying these things, while well within his constitutional rights to express himself, is irresponsible for many people. As a professed friend of both Mr. Marcos and Mr. Duterte, Roque should consider choosing a middle path rather than being a tool for fomenting political intrigues.

Talks about Mr. Duterte’s possible arrest after former senator Antonio Trillanes IV bared that several ICC investigators are now in the country to complete their investigation on alleged human rights violators committed by Philippine security forces under instruction from former president Duterte.

In an interview, Trillanes says the ICC may issue a warrant of arrest after the court concludes its probe into the drug killings. However, Trillanes pointed out that it may take at least six months before the release of the warrant see link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDs2W_-zKAE
