Duterte confirms retirement, denies hand in alleged destab moves

on

In a press conference held in Davao just hours ago, former president Rodrigo Roa Duterte denies knowledge of any destabilization plot against the Marcos junior administration. He also denies the existence of a so-called “pulvoron” video against President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Junior. see link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GGkySmIWoo

In typical Duterte style which I personally admired before, Mr. Duterte says there’s simply no reason for anybody to destabilize the Marcos Junior administration.

Duterte asks why he will destabilize the government at this time when he is already retired from politics. He is too old, Duterte says. He uses a cane now to walk, admitting that he’s knees are now too weak even to go around, attributing this to having so many falls off his motorcycle. That explains why he now goes around in a trike– a motorcycle with three wheels.

In the alleged video, Duterte says there’s no truth to its existence because if it does exist, it would have been exposed a long time ago.

In a separate video, former Duterte spokesperson Harry Roque alluded to this “pulvoron” video, which, he says, was exposed by a former BBM supporter, Maharlika, who now champions attacks against the First Couple. Maharlika, a political blogger, alleges to have in her possession a video that shows President Marcos Junior using drugs and being supplied drugs by the Justice secretary. see link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkdDr7HIT5Q

Another pro-Duterte general, retired General Macanas also parrotted what Maharlika and former Duterte spokesperson Harry Roque raised in their online vlogs see link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atWmMlWQC20.

Currentph.com has not verified the truthfulness of this so-called video, which alleged pro-Duterte bloggers are using to justify a so-called 90 days deadline for Mr. Marcos Junior to resign his post as President.

Duterte discourages his supporters to support such destabilization moves. Duterte says that true patriotic Filipinos must strive to strengthen democracy instead of weakening it.
