A magnitude 5.7 earthquake shook Calatagan in Batangas at around 11:08 p.m. on Friday that was also felt in Pasig and Quezon City in Metro Manila.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said that the earthquake had a depth of 113 kilometers with its location at 15 kilometers southwest of Calatagan.

Phivolcs also recorded the following intensities in the following areas:

Intensity IV – Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro; and Intensity III – Pasig City; Quezon City; Obando, Bulacan.
