FORMER president Joseph Ejercito Estrada was rushed to a hospital on Sunday night after he tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) but is in stable condition, according to family members.

“Please pray for my father who has tested positive for Covid-19 and was rushed to the hospital,” said former senator Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito on Twitter on Monday.

“Please pray for all those who are likewise fighting this virus,” he added.

Estrada’s getting infected with Covid-19 was also confirmed by former senator Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada confirmed on Facebook.

Jinggoy said his father, who served as mayor of San Juan City and Manila, is in stable condition.

The former president is already 83 years old.
