New United States president Joe Biden just pushed America back into the arms of the world after he announced that the US intends to join countries that signed the Paris accord. As you know, the accord intends to lower carbon emissions by 1-2% and while this might not be entirely achieved by 2021, nonetheless, the news that America will once more lead others in this quest is good news already. The US remains the second biggest air polluter behind China and India.

This just means that US industries are to be asked to improve their air emissions or totally abandon coal fired power plants and revert to safer energy sources.

The Paris accord is a global response to global climate change that experts say is becoming worse due to over industrialization.

China has committed itself to be carbon free by 2060 without giving any specifics as to how they intend to achieve this goal.
