
The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Wednesday an increase of 279 new positive cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the Philippines, bringing the total number of cases to 13,221.
“As of 4PM today, May 20, 2020, the Department of Health reports 279 new cases (PH12943-PH13221) of COVID-19. NCR with additional 150 new cases, Region 7 with 14 additional new cases and 115 new cases from different Regions. The total number of cases in the country is now at 13,221,” said DOH COVID-19 Case Bulletin #067.
The DOH also reported five new fatalities bringing the total death toll to 842.
DOH also announced 89 new recoveries. This brings the total number of recoveries to 2,932./Stacy Ang
