MANILA — Officials from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) paid a courtesy call on Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Monday hoping to strike a productive partnership with the city on education development.

The BJMP officials said they hope to partner with the city government to achieve their sustainable development goals involving quality education and providing training programs for delinquents.

“Our goal is education. Kung mababawasan natin ang mga hindi nakapag-aral, maaaring mabawasan rin ang mga nakakulong,” BJMP Chief Allan Sullano Iral said.

Domagoso expressed his support to the association’s future projects and assured everyone that the city government will align its plans to create opportunities that will aid in the reduction of petty crimes.

“You have a receptive government. Please know that we are investing more to educate the future generation,” Domagoso said. (STACY  ANG/IA/CPH)
