
MANILA — Acer Philippines on Monday (27 (January 2020) has forged an official partnership with Manila Mayor Isko Moreno by donating 42 units of computers that will be distributed to the city’s public libraries.
The leading IT company also signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the City of Manila advocating that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn digital skills essential in their day to day life and work place.
Under the agreement, the 42 Acer computers are to be distributed to the following libraries in Manila: Manila-Sacramento Friendship Library (5 Computers), San Nicolas Public Library (4 Computers), Tondo Public Library (4 Computers), Valeriano E. Fugoso Library (4 Computers), Main Library Ref. Division (8 Computers), Kapitan Isidro Mendoza Public Library (2 Computers), Dapitan Complex Library (2 Computers), Arsenio H. Lacson Public Library (3 Computers), Bacood Public Library (4 Computers), Patricia Public Library (2 Computers), and Manila-San Francisco Friendship Library (4 Computers).
Under the MOA the good mayor has also provided spaces inside public libraries for Manilenos to do group discussions, meetings and other collaborative engagements. (BENJAMIN CUARESMA/IAMIGO)
