ZAMBOANGA CITY: A group of three gunmen allegedly shot and killed a policeman inside a bus while traveling in this southern Philippine city officials said.
On Sunday, officials said the victim, Master Sergeant Chito Lagahit, was accordingly on his way to work in Baliguian town from Dipolog City when the attack occurred late Friday afternoon.
The gunmen posed as passengers and were seated near the policeman when they shot Lagahit.
Maj. Helen Galvez, a regional police spokesman, said an investigation has already been launched to determine the motive for the murder and the identities of the killers.
“The Baliguian municipal police station is conducting a thorough investigation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the suspects,” Galvez said. (IAMIGO/CPH)
