Led by school teachers, Kinder to Grade 6 pupils of Francisco Balagtas Elementary School in Sta Cruz, Manila present gleeful, and colorful song and dance intermezzo Tuesday (10 December 2019) inside their campus as their own little way at welcoming the birth of baby Jesus on the 25th of December.

Notice the multitude of golden stars they used as headdresses, symbolic of the shining lone star the Three Kings (Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar) followed in the middle of the night into the little town of Bethlehem (a barrio actually during those times) where the child Jesus was poorly born on a manger.

The said presentation is being made by school children ahead of the start of the Christmas break on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019.

Classes resume after the holidays on Jan. 6, 2020, according to DepEd Order 007, series of 2019. (Mike Taboy/BENJIE CUARESMA/IAMIGO/CNS)
