Over 900,000 families affected by Typhoon Tisoy — NDRRMC

MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Tisoy has affected more than 90,000 families or more than 362,000 individuals after it hit Regions 3, 5 and 8.

This is based on data from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Of that number, more than 86,000 families remain in evacuation centers while more than 4,000 families stay with their relatives.

The number of houses damaged by Typhoon Tisoy has also increased to 28, of which 15 were totally damaged while 13 were partially damaged.

About 198 places lost their electricity to Regions 5, 8, CAR and CALABARZON (Provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon).

According to the NDRRMC, they are continuing their assessment of areas affected by typhoon Tisoy. (Marian/IAMIGO/CNS)
