MANILA. Philippines — The Senate has on Tuesday (20 November 2029) approved the proposed P8.2 billion budget of the Office of the President (OP) for 2020 in just over three minutes.

The former presidential, Senator “Bong” Go presented the budget proposal for the OP. Not a single question was asked.

Go ensured that the budget of the OP would be secured and that checks and balances would be followed.

“Every centavo must be wisely spent to help and support the Filipino nation. It is the people’s money and it is just right that the government should give it back to them,” Go said.

Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri said no senator had filed to interpellate on the budget of the OP.

He also called for the president’s office to submit and authorize the budget. (Marian Sinamban/IAMIGO/CNS)
