MANILA, Philippines — Pinay jiu-jitsu practitioner Dylan Valmores settled for the silver medal in the Under-18 Jiu-Jitsu Female category on Saturday, 17 November 2019, of the Ju-Jitsu World Championships in Dubai, UAE.

The 16-year old Valmores poures her might but Margarita Lakushkina of Russia proved too hot to handle in the finals and settles for a runner-up finish.

United Arab Emirate’s Haya Aljhoori won the bronze medal.

Earlier, Valmores snatched the gold medal in the Thailand Ju-jitsu Open Grand Prix 2019 in August.

She was also a recipient of the Super Kids award at the Siklab Sports Youth Awards.

Meanwhile, action in the Adult category already began last Sunday with 13 Pinoy Jiu-jitsu bets, mostly SEA Games-bound fighting out for a podium finish. (Lloyd Tagbago/IAMIGO/CNS)
